We are looking for a sales professional to promote the range of professional AV products, raising awareness of these product portfolios through the Midwich group account managers and securing sales.

Ideally you will have experience in the Pro-AV, rental staging and live events industries and have a good knowledge of the AV channel. 

You will need the ability to profile targeted accounts, negotiate with, quote and close an initial 'order' from customers, as well as hunt out opportunities securing new business.

As well as having a passion for sales you will need to assist in promoting solutions for different markets and applications, so having a depth of general AV products would be to your advantage.

You will be required to visit customers premises, so you will need to hold a full UK driving license.

Your duties will include:
• Targeting our account base
• Generating prospects
• Converting leads in to opportunities 
• Preparing, issuing and following up sales proposals
• Closing business

To be considered for this role, you must: 
• Have Audio Visual sales experience
• Have demonstrable experience of generating new business
• Have demonstrable experience of 'closing opportunities'
• Have experience of presenting proposals to both technical and non-technical staff
• Demonstrate a good level of technical knowledge

We are looking for a field based sales professional to promote the range of AMX products and services, raise awareness of the AMX product portfolio through group Account Managers and secure sales for AMX products.

Ideally you will have experience in the Pro-AV industry and have knowledge of the major control system manufacturers including AMX.

You will need the ability to profile target accounts, negotiate with, quote and close an initial 'order' from customers as well as hunt out opportunities for business development and secure the business away from competitive products.

As well as having a passion for sales you will need to assist in the design of bundle solutions for different markets and applications, so being technically minded would be to your advantage.

You will be required to visit customers premises, so you will need to hold a full UK driving licence.

Full product training will be provided on the AMX product range.

New Streaming Media Specialist joins True Colours

Adam Berditch joins True Colours to reinforce our intent in the live media streaming market as Technical Streaming Media Specialist. Adam brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously enjoyed business development manager roles at Osborne Technologies and account management at Sahara.

Working primarily with True Colours partner Exterity and BrightSign, along with the ground breaking Solstice software from recent new partner Mersive. Adam is looking forward to introducing the latest streaming media technology to an ever-expanding market, as well as working closely with True Colours' established customer base.

Adam says: "Today's technology market demands convergence of the AV and IT sectors. True Colours forms new partnership with Datapath

The technical division of the Midwich Group, True Colours, and Datapath Limited have joined forces in a deal that sees the UK’s premier technical AV distributor team up with a world leading innovator in the field of computer graphics and video wall display technology.

The partnership further expands True Colours’ broad technical AV portfolio with a range of cutting edge videowall controllers, including  the Datapath x4 range - a stand alone display controller that accepts a standard single or dual-link DVI input and can flexibly display this across four output monitors.

Each output of the Datapath x4 can be driven as DVI or analog RGB, and can represent an arbitrary crop region of the original input image. The output resolution and frame rate does not need to be related to that of the input, as the Datapath x4 display controller will optionally upscale and frame rate convert each cropped region independently.

The specifications of Datapath’s x4 range brings a welcome versatility when specifying a solution. Dual-link video input will support high resolution pixel-perfect source images for display. The Datapath x4 can also present a default native resolution to the source to allow still higher custom resolutions at reduced frame rate, but still remain within the capabilities of the dual-link video interface. Most standard graphics card sources will output at this native resolution. Since the x4 will scale and frame rate convert, using a triple buffered capture architecture, the output monitors can still operate at their preferred frame rates and resolutions.

Another large plus is the x4’s ability to maintain ultimate quality, even when using long cable lengths. At high resolution, DVI signals cannot normally be guaranteed beyond 5m cables, due to the nature of the signal losses inherent in the DVI cables and connectors. Datapath have added active equalization hardware on the input to the x4, which is able to compensate for these losses and support cable lengths of up to 20m, even at full dual-link resolutions (330Mhz pixel clocks). Lower resolutions will allow even longer cable lengths.

Additionally, Datapath x4 display controller control application allows user configuration of the equalization levels to guarantee that any combination of input cable length and cable type can be adjusted for optimum quality.
